This temporary position's primary responsibility is to draw the many parts and products within our Fabric Awning product lines.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • This position requires that work is conducted at our business location; little or no telecommuting available.  Work hours can be scheduled weekdays, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Ability to develop accurate drawings that illustrate Craft-Bilt's product lines.
  • Excellent Office Suite computer skills. 
  • Comfortable working in the plant production environment as needed to become acquainted with the construction of our products.
  • Works as part of a team to meet company goals.
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures.
  • Wears the required personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for each job task if necessary per the PPE Assessment.
  • Performs other duties as necessitated by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred and 0-2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Accomplished in AutoDesk Inventor and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Proficient in math, reading, and writing.
  • Possesses excellent communication and organizational skills; able to interact well with customers, management, administration, and manufacturing, while satisfactorily completing assignments in a timely fashion.
  • Possesses exceptional judgment, initiative, discretion, tact, and personality in all areas of responsibility while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to work with urgency.

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed.
  • May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 lbs. for files or computer printouts on occasion. Up to 70 lbs. in the Plant; more weight with team lifting.

  • The performance of this position may occasionally require the employee to be exposed to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., steel-tipped footwear, safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection) is required.
  • For the most part, ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment is as found in a typical office environment.
