The primary function of this position is to effectively oversee the Shipping and Receiving Departments. Ensure that supervisory procedures, processes, equipment and direct reports are working productively and efficiently in meeting production goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • This position requires that work is conducted at our business location; little or no telecommuting available.
  • Oversee Shipping & Receiving operations; coordinate resources and labor to suffice warehouse and production demand and meet required deadlines.
  • Enforces company policies within the department, including properly training employees on how to work safely, efficiently, and how to produce a top-quality product.
  • Direct supervision of shipping operation, including company truck.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Is responsible for hiring and employee relations within the Shipping and Receiving department.
  • Operate warehouse industrial equipment as necessary, including lift truck
  • Occasionally required to lift, push, and pull when assisting departments.
  • Evaluates and solves product and production problems.
  • Plans and coordinates labor requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience required.
  • Lift truck experience helpful, but not necessary

REQUIREMENTS CONTINUED

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Computer literate. Able to learn software necessary to effectively accomplish position duties of production and personnel time management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically in Word and Excel
  • Ability to use hand tools and other light industrial power tools
  • Must be physically capable of regularly lifting up to 70 lbs.
